If u want to make soft idlis within a few hours after making the idli batter and you are living in a centrally air-conditioned house, preheat the oven to 200 degree Fahrenheit, put it off and keep the batter in the oven overnight. repeat this process after 2-3 hours. batter will be well fermented within 10 hours.
