Besan Ladoo

This is a great quick preparation and a sweet snack for all to enjoy. It is made from pure ghee and gram flour with raisins.

1 cup Besan Flour
1 cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Ghee 
3 Tbspns Golden Raisins
4 Tbspns Chopped Cashews 
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder ( freshly ground)

Heat the Ghee (clarified butter) in a pan. Add the gram flour and sauté it on a low flame stirring continuously till light reddish brown. You will be able to smell a beautiful aroma of cooked flour. Once it is browned, let it cool . Add powdered cardamom and sugar. Mix well. Add chopped cashews and raisins. Shape into round balls about 2 inches in diameter and let them cool. Store in an airtight container.
